Quick healthy breakfast for School-goers!


Are you often wondering, how can I make my child’s snack or breakfast healthy and yummy? Check out some great recipes this month from our Chef contributor – Ms. Soniya – A Home Chef.

Healthy Oats Pancakes with Strawberry Sauce


Oats: 3/4cup
Pancake powder (Available in the market): 2tbsp
Egg: 1 Number (with the yoke)
Milk: Cold milk 5-6 tbsp. to make the batter.

Strawberry Sauce
Fresh Strawberries: 1 Cup
Water: 3/4 cup
Sugar: 5tbsp. (Reduce the sugar if the strawberries are very sweet)
Corn flour: 1tsp.

Strawberry Sauce (Made prior and refrigerated to eat cold)
In a pan take water and bring to boil.
Put sliced fresh strawberries into the boiling water and add sugar.
Boil the mix for 5 minutes
Mix corn flour in few tsp. of cold water and pour the corn flour mix into the strawberry sauce.

Pan Cake:

Grind the oats into fine powder.
Mix in a bowl powdered oats, readymade pancake powder, egg and milk to prepare a smooth batter.
In a pancake pan put some butter and make the pancakes.

Serve these delicious hot pancakes with strawberry sauce and a small scoop of fresh cream or Vanilla ice-cream (Optional)
